Laura Berrocal

Berrocal formerly led legislative and business development strategies at Net Communications, where she advised clients across technology, energy, and media sectors. She holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from The George Washington University and a B.A. in Political Science and Professional Studies in Spanish from Temple University. She currently serves as Immediate Past President of The WICT Network: Washington, DC/Baltimore – a leading organization representing women in media, entertainment, and technology – and is a member of the Women in Leadership Executive Program Advisory Council at The George Washington University School of Business.

Laura Berrocal is the Executive Director of Policy and Strategic Alliances at Verizon. As a senior leader within Verizon’s Responsible Business division, she shapes the development of forward-looking policy strategies, forges high-impact alliances that align business and policy objectives, and elevates Verizon’s brand and reputation across national platforms and core business markets.

Prior to joining Verizon, Berrocal served as Vice President of Policy and External Affairs at Charter Communications (Spectrum). There, she oversaw the formulation and implementation of public policy and communications strategies across the company’s External Affairs division. Her leadership was instrumental in spearheading initiatives that influenced critical policy and business outcomes in cable TV programming and streaming, broadband access and deployment, and mobile expansion. Berrocal previously held the position of Director of External Affairs at CTIA, the nation’s leading wireless trade association, where she collaborated closely with public interest organizations and state and local officials to promote policies that facilitated 5G deployment and advanced consumer interests in wireless technology.
